2011 British Royal Wedding

The 2011 British Royal Wedding is the most sought after invitation of the year, the names expected on Royal wedding guest list of invitations including feature celebrities, world politicians, heads of state and of course royalty from all over the globe. A reported 1,900 guests have been invited to the gala wedding ceremony for Prince William and Kate Middleton, also one can assume there are members of family and obligatory invitees. More than half the guests are directly friends or family of the happy couple. Despite leaks of information, there are no details of whom is on the privileged invites for RSVP.

Due to privacy and security, the exact list of names is not being released to the public. This has caused an unusually wide range of speculations about the Royal guest who's who from media in all part of the world, let alone on the shores of Great Britain.

Although the guest list has many awed and in wonder, it is the choice of royal wedding rings that has the media currently guessing. Traditionally the Royal Family that have worn pure Clogau Welsh gold wedding rings. This has been the choices of royals long standing. Princess Margaret The Countess of Snowdon (1960), Princess Anne The Princess Royal (1973), Diana The Princess of Wales (1981), Prince Charles (1981) and The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall (2005) all chose to wed with Clogau Welsh gold rings. The tradition was founded by Queen Elizabeth when wedding King George VI (on April 26th, 1923. Her Majesty’s wedding ring was a Clogau gold nugget owned, at the time, by a Mr. Bartholomew. The same nugget was used to fashion the ring that The Prince Philip gave to Queen Elizabeth II at their wedding in Westminster Abbey on 20th November, 1947. I think it is safe to say that William and Kate will likely follow the traditions of royals before them.

William and Kate will exchange their marriage vows on April 29, 2011 at 11 AM and the ceremonies are to be held at the traditional Westminster Abbey church. Invitations have officially gone out via first class Royal Mail. The invitations gave strict dress code instruction of uniform, morning or lounge suit. All of the wedding invites on the royal wedding guest list have been officially approved by Prince Charles and the Queen herself, guests are requested to attend 'the Marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G. with Miss Catherine Middleton.'

The wedding of the century is William and Kate's step into history together.
